The Jets drop the second game of this back-to-back by a final score of 5-1 to the Wild and fall to 46-30-4 on the season. Winnipeg lost every game (all 5) to Minnesota this season. They also lost Brandon Tanev in the 1st period.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

The Jets held a closed door meeting for 20+ minutes following the loss.

Audio:

Blake Wheeler

Coach Maurice:  What does the closed door meeting mean?  Is he happy they held it?  Would there by anything to read into it that it’s happening at game 80?  Assessing the game overall.  Anything to say to Eric Comrie tonight?  Any news on Brandon Tanev?  What did he think of the uncalled slash?
