The Jets are now 48-20-10 after tonight’s 3-1 win over the Leafs.  The victory clinched home-ice for the Jets in the 1st round of the playoffs.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

Connor Hellebuyck picked up his 41st win tonight.  According to NHL PR: “Only two U.S.-born goaltenders in NHL history have recorded more wins in a season: Tom Barrasso in 1992-93 (43 w/ PIT) and Mike Richter in 1993-94 (42 w/ NYR).”

Coach Maurice:  Assessing the game.  Importance of Josh Morrissey’s goal.  Is that they type of game he wants his team to play in the playoffs?  On what the Lowry line did for their team.  On the pairing of Trouba/Morrissey.  On how the group has bounced back from poor games.  On Connor Hellebuyck’s game.

Next game:

Monday, April 2nd at Ottawa at 6:30 pm.
