Game 75: Jets vs. Predators pre-game report

A look ahead to game 75 for the Jets.

Jets have won four straight but still remain six points back of the Predators who also hold a game in hand on Winnipeg.  With Nashville having played last night in Minnesota the Jets won’t face Vezina candidate Pekka Rinne but they will still face a very able goalie in Juuse Saros.

Should be a good game considering the potential for a 2nd round series between these two big dogs of the Western Conference.

Projected lines will be updated once they get underway.  Only potential change is if Jack Roslovic gets inserted into tonight’s lineup.

Morning skate notes:

Optional skate for the Jets today.

Projected Jets lines, D pairs and starting goalie:

Blake Wheeler (spoke about the incident between himself and Chiarot, took responsibility for it).

Josh Morrissey

Coach Maurice:  On shutting down Enstrom for regular season.  On Poolman playing.  How have they continued to drive without being comfortable.  Importance of securing a playoff spot with a win tonight.  On the “extra stuff” that happens after the whistle.  On Blake Wheeler taking responsibility for yesterday’s ‘dust up’. Clarification on Enstrom.

Health update:

Jacob Trouba was skating in a non-contact uniform and Michael Hutchinson was taking shots in practice for the first time.

Following skate Jets coach Paul Maurice indicated that the team is shutting down Tobias Enstrom for the remainder of the rest of the season.  Expects him to be ready for the playoffs.
