The Jets cancelled practice on Saturday so we don’t have any clarity when it comes to the status of captain Blake Wheeler who missed the last game and has been labelled as day-to-day with a upper-body injury.
There also remains the question as to how the goaltending will play out and whether it will be Eric Comrie tonight and Connor Hellebuyck tomorrow in Montreal or vice versa. It seems highly unlikely that they would run Hellebuyck in both games.
Skate news:
As per Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV no Blake Wheeler on the ice this morning and he indicated that Connor Hellebuyck is going through his starting routine.
He added that the lines and D pairs remain the same as they were in Friday’s game against the Avs. Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press confirms that Wheeler will not play tonight and is doubtful for Monday in Montreal.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Dubois-Svechnikov
Stastny-Scheifele-Ehlers
Sanford-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Toninato-Brooks
Morrissey-DeMelo
Schmidt-Pionk
Samberg-Dillon
Hellebuyck
Comrie
