The conclusion of this three-game homestand in Winnipeg will pit the 11th place Jets against the 1st place Avalanche this evening in Manitoba. Basically it is the first of 11 must-win games and even that wouldn’t likely be enough for the Jets to make the playoffs but as they said in Dumb and Dumber “So you’re saying there’s a chance”.
Skate news:
As per Ken Wiebe it is an optional today although he noted that Blake Wheeler was missing again today. Recently recalled Dylan Samberg was skating today and according to Wieber he didn’t stay on late while Logan Stanley did which looks like the 2017 2nd rounder will play his seventh game in the NHL.
Health news:
No Blake Wheeler tonight for the Jets as he is out as per interim head coach Dave Lowry. He also confirmed that Logan Stanley is banged up and Dylan Samberg is playing.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:

Stastny-Scheifele-Ehlers
Sanford-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Toninato-Brooks
Morrissey-DeMelo
Schmidt-Pionk
