Winnipegger Joel Hofer defeats the hometown team with a 3-0 win (it wasn’t a shutout as he left the game for a few minutes) in just the fourth ever NHL game for the netminder. A tough loss for the Jets as they looked to add points in the standings bank. Instead they fall to 39-29-3 on the season. Missed opportunity to move six points up on the idle Flames and seven up on a Preds team that got absolutely pulverized by the Rangers in New York (7-0).

Notable:
Today was a milestone moment for the Jets first ever draft pick. Mark Scheifele played in his 713th game wearing a Winnipeg Jets uniform. That tied him with his mentor, former coach and Jets 1.0 great Dale Hawerchuk who also played in 713 games for Winnipeg.
The power play needs to be blown up. They haven’t scored in four games going o/3 in this one and 0/13.
