Game 7: Jets vs. Canucks pre-game report

A look at the game 7 projected lineups and pre-game audio.

Jets vs Canucks

Despite the OT loss on Tuesday the Jets continue to benefit from home cooking at Bell MTS Place sitting 2-0-1 to start the season within the friendly confines of their home rink.  Tonight the red-hot Canucks roll into town having won three straight games including a 3-2 OT win over the Penguins on Tuesday.

AM skate notes:

Via Jamie Thomas of Jets TV we learn that Dustin Byfuglien is back to a normal red uniform from the yellow non-contact he wore yesterday but Mithcell Clinton (also of Jets TV) indicated that it is an optional so we will have to wait for confirmation as to his status.  Connor Hellebuyck will get the start according to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun who also added that Nic Petan, Kristian Vesalainen and Dmitry Kulikov all stayed on for extra work so those are your likely scratches.

Ehlers-Little-Laine
Copp-Lowry-Tanev

Audio:

Patrik Laine

Coach Maurice:  Status of Byfuglien?  What did he see from Lemieux from his season debut?  What has caught his attention from the Canucks early this season?  Will it be Chiarot back from Byfuglien?  What are the challenges for the centre between Laine/Ehlers?  Is there enough puck to go around when Laine and Ehlers are together?  Is it a lot to ask the wingers to play to their centre’s strength?  Is there a leadership void on the bench?  Is Josh Morrissey taking a step forward in his offensive game?  On Morrissey’s ability to read the play.
