The Jets left Winnipeg after concluded eight straight games at home where they finished with a 5-2-1 record. Somewhat unexpectedly they didn’t make a forward recall which means they’ll be rolling with 12/7 for the time being or until one of their injured players is ready to return. Presumably the team is holding the three remaining recalls they have in order to bring up a prospect towards the end of the season.
The margin for error for the visitors is beyond low with just 15 games remaining on the schedule and they are trailing the final wild card spot by just four points.
They’ll be going up against a Bruins team that sit in the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference but just two points back of third spot in the Atlantic. They have a formidable home record going 25-9-1 at TD Garden. The 10 combined losses are the least of any team in the NHL. They are 4-3-3 in their last ten games including losing their last two in extra time.
