Game 64: Winnipeg Jets vs New York Rangers pre-game report

The Jets lost a big game on Tuesday but as has been the subject of focus in Winnipeg the damage was minimized as a result of the team in the wild card spot (Kraken) did not pull away despite the lack of adding any points to their standings bank.

They take on a Rangers team who sit dead last in the Eastern Conference HOWEVER it should be noted that they have just two fewer points to the Jets (although they’ve played one more game this season). As well their splits between home and away are quite significant. They are 9-15-6 at MSG while they’ve gone 17-15-2 away from NYC.

Odds:

Despite a setback, the Jets remain in the mix and know every opportunity to bank points matters. The visiting Rangers may sit lower in the standings, but they’ve proven capable of being a tougher opponent away from home. Winnipeg enters the matchup as the slight favorite, though the numbers suggest this one could be closer than it might appear at first glance..
