The Jets needed to step up and they did just that with the HUGE 7-5 win in front of a sold out crowd here in Winnipeg. The victory improves them to 36-25-2 and they move back into 3rd place leapfrogging the Avalanche who have lost their last two games.

Notable:
Blake Wheeler was honoured for playing in his 1100th NHL game.
Centre Mark Scheifele up to 36 goals with the goal that ties the game for Winnipeg. He is two off his career high set in 2018-19. And on pace for 46 this season.
The Jets also honoured the return of former Jet Mark Stuart who is now an assistant coach with the Oilers. He got a warm Winnipeg welcome back.
Speaking of assistant coaches, Brad Lauer was back on the bench for the Jets. He’s been on coaching IR with back issues.
Felt like Adam Lowry was going to break his 35 game goalless streak and he did just that. With his goal he tied Mathieu Perreault for 9th overall in Jets 2.0 goal scoring with his 88th in a Winnipeg uniform.
The Jets and Oilers combined for five goals in seven minutes in the middle frame. Just wild.
Josh Morrissey moved into 2nd in NHL scoring for defencemen with his 66 points. Still trails Erik Karlsson who leads the NHL with 80. It’s a shame that 44 still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves outside this market.
Picking up his first point as a Jet was Vladislav Namestnikov who had an assist on the DeMelo empty net goal.
Multi Point Game:
Josh Morrissey 2G 1A
Morgan Barron 1G 1A
Mark Scheifele 1G 1A
Dylan DeMelo 1G 1A
