The Jets left Carolina with an unexpected 5-3 win over the Hurricanes on Saturday after they scored five straight in the final frame. It wasn’t all good as we learned after the game that the team sent Gabriel Vilardi back to Winnipeg to be evaluated.
We already know that Laurent Brossoit gets the start between the pipes and the biggest lineup question will be whether Rick Bowness will keep Nikolaj Ehlers up on the top line after their success in the 3rd period and if he gets Cole Perfetti back in the lineup after he was a healthy scratch yesterday.
Their opponent tonight picked up a big win at home on Saturday as the Sabres rolled the Golden Knights by a final score of 7-2. While it seems unlikely Buffalo can challenge for a playoff spot they have gone 7-3-0 in their last ten games and have won two straight games.
Morning Skate:
None.
Lineup news:
As per Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press both Brenden Dillon and Cole Perfetti back in the lineup.
Seems reasonable that Logan Stanley comes out and not sure which forward comes out for Perfetti.
Warm-up news:
Perfetti in for Kupari and Dillon in for Stanley as per Wieber.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Ehlers
Namestnikov-Monahan-Iafallo
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Gustafsson-Perfetti
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
