After starting off this homestand with two wins the Jets have followed it up with two losses and they will play a Chicago team that played last night and won big in Calgary although they wouldn’t have gotten into Winnipeg until quite late.
For now the projected lines are simply based on the last game.
Pre-Skate News:
After playing last night for the Moose the Jets announced the recall of Andrei Chibisov.
Morning Skate:
According to Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun no Connor Hellebuyck this morning which points to him being your starter. Scott adds that Nikolaj Ehlers, Patrik Laine and Jack Roslovic weren’t on the ice. Andrei Chibisov came off with the main group and Logan Shaw stayed on with Anthony Bitetto and Sami Niku for extra work so it looks like the Russian forward will make his NHL debut tonight. He’ll be the sixth players to make a debut for Winnipeg this season.

Coach Maurice: Is Andrei Chibisov in? Has he ever had six players make their NHL debut in a year before? Does he give his traditional speech via a translator? What makes tonight the right night to put Chibisov in? Is he planning on keeping his lines the way the last game ended? What does he know about Chibisov? How is his Russian? Hawks putting up eight in Calgary last night. What is the adaptation to get through the neutral zone the right way?
