Game 5: Jets 6 Senators 3 post-game recap

Post-game from the Jets dressing room as well as from Coach Maurice.

Not the cleanest of starts for either team but Connor Hellebuyck made a couple of saves early, followed by a Nathan Beaulieu fight with Michael Haley and eventually Nikolaj Ehlers would keep his hot streak alive with a power play goal to give the Jets a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes.

The middle frame was a see-saw affair with the Sens tying it, Kyle Connor giving the Jets a lead followed by two straight goals that  Connor Hellebuyck would likely want back to give Ottawa a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes.

Early in the final frame Paul Stastny made a nice move to keep himself open and then dished it to Andrew Copp who initially put it off the post and then deposited it into the back of the Sens net to tie the game 3-3. And from there the Jets exploded for three more goals as Paul Stastny got his first on the power play, Andrew Copp scored his second of the game and Mark Scheifele ended it with a empty net goal.  The win improves the Jets to 4-1-0 as they sweep the three-game series with the Senators.
