Game 5: Jets 6 Predators 4 post-game recap

Post-game recap and interviews with Jets players as well as from Coach Maurice.

The game was closer than it probably should have been but eventually the Jets turned on the jets and outpaced the Predators to improve to 2-2-1 on the season.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats click here to see the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

Jansen Harkins has now equaled his points total from last season in 21 fewer games.

What a difference a year makes for Pierre-Luc Dubois:

2020-21: 8G in 41 games with Jets
2021-22: 4G in 5 games with Jets

First NHL goal this evening for 2017 1st rounder Kristian Vesalainen. We spoke about him today on the show and one of the things we discussed was how it seemed that the Jets wanted to change his style of game. Using his big body in front of the net puts him in position to score. As Nate Schmidt told me this summer, do what you need to do to stay in NHL.

Also Nikolaj Ehlers, who has looked good despite not getting any points, finally got his first so the panic button can be put away.

Mutli point game:

Nate Schmidt 3A
Paul Stastny 2G
Kyle Connor 1G 1A
Pierre-Luc Dubois 1G 1A
Neal Pionk 2A
