Game 45: Jets vs. Blackhawks pre-game report

A look at the game 45 projected lineups and pre-game audio.

The Jets will have some revenge on their mind tonight in Chicago as they look to repay the Hawks for the 5-1 beat down they were handed back in Winnipeg on December 14th.  This is the second of five meetings between the two teams this season although they will not face off against each other again until the middle of March.  The Hawks are coming off a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Jets opponent tomorrow, the Minnesota Wild.

Morning Skate notes:

The Jets are on the ice in Chicago and according to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun neither Tobias Enstrom nor Tyler Myers are skating this morning but both are still expected to play tonight.  Ken also indicates that Adam Lowry wasn’t skating today.

Coach Maurice:  Recognition of Wheeler from across the NHL.  On building the culture.  How much of an aberration was the first encounter with the Hawks back in December?  Importance of building on the Jets road record.  What has Marko Dano done well of late?  Thoughts on the Hawks.  Biggest difference in the Jets this year compared to last season?  What is the biggest difference in Connor Hellebuyck’s game this season compared to last year?  Thoughts on the Jeff Glass storyline?
