Game 42: Flyers 3 Jets 1 post-game recap

The Jets were hoping to go into All-Star break on a high but instead they suffer a 3-1 loss to the Flyers. They are now 18-17-7 on the season. Lots for them to think about with a week off.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats click here to see the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

Kyle Connor now has 25 goals in 42 games for the Jets. The Michigan product is definitely chasing 50. And shows off his hockey smarts where he created time and space recognizing the Flyers player was watching the puck and not number 81.

Flyers goalie Carter Hart was excellent in the middle frame making all 15 stops for Philly including on a 2 on 0 opportunity between Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler as well as a Kyle Connor laserbeam.

Both teams seemed to be playing for OT but the Flyers took advantage of a miscue late in the 3rd.

Taxi squad:

Reminder that the taxi squad will be dissolved after tonight’s game.
