The Jets slide has hit six games (0-4-2) and they are in for a tall task against a Blues team that currently sit 16 points up on them in the standings (although St. Louis has played three more games). They are currently dealing with eight players out of the lineup which means they will have some youth (in terms of NHL games) on the backend.
There are still some lineup question marks ahead of puck drop. The expectation is that Connor Hellebuyck will make his 14th straight start in net. Dominic Toninato, who had been in covid protocol, skated on Friday and interim coach Dave Lowry said if he (Toninato) is comfortable then he will be an active participant. Of course no indication as to who would come out of the lineup.
The D pairs below are how they skated yesterday at practice although the team did bring a number of additional players on the taxi squad so there is still plenty of potential for change. Basically stay tuned for warm up skate for confirmation.
Starting goalie:
As per Paul Edmonds on the pre-game show it will be Eric Comrie starting in net. It will be his first start since December 10th.
Warm up:
As per Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV it will be Dominic Toninato in and Evgeny Svechnikov out. The D pairs are as they were at practice yesterday.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Copp-Scheifele-Wheeler
Connor-Dubois-Perfetti
Stastny-Lowry-Poganski
Harkins-Toninato-Vesalainen
Dillon-Schmidt
Heinola-Pionk
Chisholm-Kovacevic
Comrie
Hellebuyck
