Game 37: Islanders 5 Jets 2 post-game report

The Jets are now 20-11-6 after 37 games on the season.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

– Jets got off to a slow start and allowed two goals in 49 seconds early in the 1st period;
– Tucker Poolman scored his first NHL (as well as first professional) goal of his career;
– Bryan Little matched Chris Thorburn’s franchise record of 709 games played for Atlanta/Winnipeg;
– Islanders rookie Matt Barzal had a natural hat trick against the Jets.

Audio:

Blake Wheeler

Tucker Poolman

Adam Lowry

Coach Maurice:  On chasing the game.  Difficulty in scoring of late.  Running on fumes.  Shuffling of the lines.
