Game 35: Jets vs. Canucks pre-game report

Here are your lines, D pairs and starting goalie courtesy of Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun:

Ehlers-Scheifele-Laine
Perreault-Little-Wheeler
Dano-Petan-Stafford
Copp-Lowry-Tanev

Morrissey-Byfuglien
Enstrom-Trouba
Chiarot-Postma

Hellebuyck
Hutchinson

Scratches:  Burmistrov, Thorburn, Stuart.

Sounds like Armia and Matthias are very close as according to Ted both were skating in normal uniforms.

Player audio:

Brandon Tanev:  Has he spoken to his brother?  On his mom cheering for the Jets.  Nice to get him mom’s loyalty?  Might there be a battle tonight?  On his parents watching.  On his brother’s support.  On the two games in Vancouver.

Nic Petan:  On the road to recovery.  Is it more about the mental or physical?  How does he manage it mentally when he’s trying to make an impression and then suffers an injury?  On the Canucks team.

Patrik Laine:  Reflecting on his 18th goal.  On his confidence in his abilities.  Is he surprised at what he has been able to accomplish to date?  On his quote “From a chance like that I will score 99 times out of 100. The stick will break once”.  On the importance of the points this week.

Drew Stafford:  On playing the same team twice in the same city.  The four points on the line this week.

Coach audio:

Paul Maurice:  On Laine’s swagger.  What does he want to see from Nic Petan as he gets back into the lineup?  Opportunity for him on the power play?  Any added excitement from Brandon today as he gets ready to face his brother?  What does he like about the match-up playing same team twice this week?  Might it be a positive to play two road games with no travel?  What made that goal that Laine scored special?

Courtesy of Brian Munz of TSN 1290 Winnipeg here are your Canucks projected lines, D pairs and starting goalie:

D Sedin-H Sedin-Hansen
Eriksson-Sutter-Granlund
Baertschi-Horvat-Burrows
Skille-Chaput-Megna

Hutton-Tanev
Sbisa-Stecher
Tryamkin-Biega

Markstrom
Miller

Players audio:

Chris Tanev:  Bit strange to face a team two games at home?  Which brother has the advantage?  Bring back childhood memories?  Is the family split?  Who is the favourite?  Importance of the two games.  What does he need to be most aware of when facing Patrik Laine?
