Game 3: Jets vs. Kings pre-game report

A look at the game 3 projected lineups and pre-game audio.

The Jets were without Adam Lowry (maintenance) and Jacob Trouba (leave of absence) on Monday but coach Maurice indicated he anticipated that both would be players in tonight’s home opener.

As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press Adam Lowry was back today but Jacob Trouba was not on the ice.  While there were no line rushes this morning Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports that Lemieux, Dano and Kulikov all stayed on the ice late and Murat Ates of the Athletic Winnipeg has the expected lines and D pairs as follows:

Connor – Scheifele – Wheeler
Ehlers – Little – Laine
Copp – Lowry – Tanev
Perreault – Roslovic – Vesalainen

Morrissey – Trouba
Chiarot – Byfuglien
Morrow – Myers

Hellebuyck
Brossoit

Audio:

Blake Wheeler

Tyler Myers

Coach Maurice:  Status of Jacob Trouba?  Any lineup changes tonight?  On the lone home game.  What are excitement levels like in the room for a home opener?  How does he handle the heightened expectations?  Does discipline need to be addressed?  What has he liked about his team in the first couple of games and any areas of concerns?  On why the pace didn’t get going in Dallas.  What will give him an indication that the Ehlers/Little/Laine is working?  On the high scores around the league and whether this trend will continue.  Did he see anything different from Ehlers in the first couple of games than what he saw from pre-season?  The progress/development in Kyle Connor’s game.
