Player pre-game audio:

Mark Scheifele:  Facing off against McDavid.  Does he have an idea on how to defend McDavid?  Any friendly banter heading into the game?  Was there anything additional he picked up about McDavid from playing with him at the World Cup?  Does he enjoy these games more when there is more attention?  Does he think he’s showing to people this year that he is the “real deal”?  Any reason why Jets have been so good at home vs their road play?

Blake Wheeler:  On the star power that will be on display tonight.  The comfort of playing at home.  Does he look forward to going up against players like McDavid?

Mathieu Perreault:  Excitement about getting back on the ice.  How does he manage the first couple of shifts?  Thoughts on facing the Oilers?

Patrik Laine:  On his goal last game.  What has he liked from the Jets the last couple of games at home?  Is he seeing more defensive pressure?  On why its harder to get points as season progresses.  Excitement facing McDavid.  Does he enjoy these games more when there is more attention?  On his relationship with Jesse Puljujarvi.

Coach pre-game audio:

Paul Maurice:  What has the team missed most with the absence of Mathieu Perreault?  What goes into the decision to start Perreault on the 4th line?  On Ben Chiarot bringing his game to the 3rd pairing.  Trying to contain McDavid.  Is McDavid the type of player that guys get amped up to play against?
