The Jets have returned home having won half their games on the four-game road trip. They are home for this one game before jumping back on a plane on Tuesday for a solo game in Denver on Wednesday. The big question today was going to be what is the status of Steve Mason but with Eric Comrie being recalled this morning the question now becomes length of time he is out with injury. We should have an update from coach Maurice following skate.
Morning skate notes:
According to Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun there aren’t any changes to the forward or D pairs today from last game. Only change is Eric Comrie as the backup.
Injury Update:
Steve Mason has a concussion according to the Jets bench boss who said this following morning skate about the injury to the Jets goalie “He’s got a concussion. On the shot he took. He felt fine right after for the two time out, he felt good but by the time he got to the locker room he was starting to feel off, so we just pulled him then. I felt at the time it was really precautionary. He got tested there yesterday. I can’t tell you that it’s a mild one but there certainly weren’t strong symptoms but we’ll see over the next couple of days how it settles down.”.

Scrum topics: Mason status. On recalling Eric Comrie. Will he lean on Hellebuyck more with this situation? On the disappointment for Mason based on how he has been playing. Play of Ben Chiarot. Would he lean on Comrie the way they would on Mason? On Mason’s symptoms. Response he is looking for after the last game against the Sharks. Importance of today’s game vs divisional opponent on standings. On transparency with injuries.
