The Jets are riding a 4-1-1 November and are 6-1-3 in their past ten games. Mathieu Perreault is expected to make his return from a lower-body injury that has kept him out of the Jets lineup since October 17th.
The big questions for today are who comes out of the lineup if Perreault does in fact return and which goalie gets the start in net?
Morning skate notes:
As per NHL correspondent Scott Billeck we have the answer to one of the above questions as it appears that Mathieu Perreault is in on the 4th line and Shawn Matthias comes out and the second appears to be answered as well as Connor Hellebuyck was first goalie off the ice.
Projected Jets lines, D Pairs & starting goalie:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Little-Laine
Copp-Lowry-Tanev
Perreault-Hendricks-Armia
Morrissey-Trouba
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Kulikov-Myers
Hellebuyck
Mason
Extras: Matthias, Dano and Chiarot.

Coach Maurice: On Connor Hellebuyck getting the start. On his reason for starting with Mathieu Perreault on the 4th line. On the dangers the Flyers present. What has he liked about the Copp/Lowry/Tanev trio? On one stats he looks at for his goalies. What is an acceptable number for “goals he didn’t expect”? Might Hellebuyck’s style lend itself to a heavier workload? Looking down the road on where Perreault fits into the group. Does Perreault need to be a top six guy? On Scheifele’s intensity about the game.
