Game 12: Jets vs. Leafs pre-game report

A look at the game 12 projected lineup.

Jets vs Leafs

The Jets kicked off this four-game road trip last night in Detroit with a 2-1 win to improve to 7-3-1 on the season.  Winnipeg will be looking for revenge against the Leafs after Toronto handed them a 4-2 loss on Wednesday at Bell MTS Place.  Quite the contrast in the last week between these two squads as Toronto played last Saturday then played Wednesday in Winnipeg and won’t play again until Saturday night against the Jets.  Compare that to Winnipeg who had games scheduled those same three days but also played the Blues on Monday and Red Wings last night.

Changes:

Coach Maurice indicated after morning skate on Friday that they will bring a non-roster goalie (Eric Comrie) and another player (who turned out to be Tucker Poolman) to join them for the trip to Finland.

AM skate notes:

No skate today.

Audio:

Coach Maurice scrum topics:  Any lineup changes?  On the recall of Tucker Poolman ahead of Finland.  On the schedule comparison of the Jets vs Leafs over the last week.  On being just an hour away last night.  Will he start the game with Laine on the 4th and Perreault on the 2nd?  Is there a need to see more from Patrik Laine 5 on 5?  What adjustments would they need to make from Wednesday’s game against the Leafs?  On Wheeler’s power play time.
