After an “interesting” optional practice day on Wednesday the Jets will spend today preparing for the final game of this seven-game homestand against a Flames team they are becoming all too familiar with. This will be the fourth time in 11 games they will have played Calgary and third time in four days. So far the Jets are 2-0-1 in the season series. Tonight will also be the first time the Jets wear their reverse retro uniforms which did not get much love from the fans when they were first unveiled.
Morning skate:
Nate Thompson is skating in a non-contact uniform and Tucker Poolman is in a regular jersey according to Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet. For now the lines and D pairs are simply based on last game and will be updated once skate gets going.
Lineup update:
Coach Maurice confirmed that Jansen Harkins isn’t playing tonight as he is dealing with a lower-body issue (day-to-day). David Gustafsson draws back into the lineup.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Copp-Scheifele-Ehlers
Connor-Stastny-Wheeler
Perreault-Lowry-Appleton
