Friday Morning NHL Papers (Western Conference): Coyotes projected to lose $50 million, Jared Boll instructed to annoy but not fight and should Adrian Dater have posted the Flames yelling match on Twitter?

Central Division

• The Blackhawks started a six-game road trip by embarassing the Flames at home by a score of 7-1.  The Hawks’ lines are changing all the time, and that is a reflection on the team’s forwards ability to play with one another.
• “We played for each other, and we played a perfect road hockey game,” said Kristian Huselius after yesterday’s game.  Jared Boll was instructed to bother a specific Oilers player and not fight in Monday night’s game.
• Chris Osgood returns to the Red Wings net tonight against Florida.  Needless to say, the Wings are still very unhappy about Wednesday’s no-goal call.
• The Predators are on a roll and are beating great teams in the process, explains John Glennon.  The team’s success does coincide with increased offensive production from the team’s best players.
• Chris Mason dedicated last night’s win over the Coyotes to his grandmother who just recently passed away.  Mike Weaver was a healthy scratch last night for the Blues.

Northwest Division

• “It’s nothing to do with Xs and Os. That was just a bad effort,” said Flames forward Eric Nystrom after last night’s embarassing loss.  Brent Sutter has had enough of his team’s play.
• Adrian Dater looks at whether Ryan Wilson’s hit on Ethan Moreau was a head shot.  Bruce Dowbiggen of the Globe & Mail analyzes Adrian Dater’s decision to post the Flames yelling match on Twitter.
• Tom Gilbert realizes why he was benched by Pat Quinn and vows to improve his play.  Mike Comrie is now out of the Oilers lineup with mono.
• Cal Clutterbuck gets to play against his former junior linemate John Tavares tonight in Minnesota.  Apparently Wild practice was extremely intense yesterday afternoon.
• Both Daniel Sedin and Pavol Demitra are closing in on returns for Vancouver.  The Canucks apparently jumped the line to get their H1N1 shots.

Pacific Division

• No one on the Ducks cares how the team won, just as long as the team won, writes Mark Medina of the L.A. Times.  Randy Carlyle’s job could be on the line but the Ducks coach has handled the talk well.
• The Stars continued their trend of losing after winning last night, explains Mike Heika.  Heika also writes that the Stars need to be more disciplined.
• It looks like the Coyotes are slated to lose over $50 million this season.  Meanwhile, the Coyotes will be selling some lower bowl tickets for $25.
• Mark Emmons isn’t the biggest fan of the NHL’s schedule which doesn’t see every team visit San Jose at least once a season.
