The Jets added veteran goalie Collin Delia one year ago today to give themselves some organizational depth (they would later add Laurent Brossoit) so he would become the veteran netminder for their AHL affiliate in Manitoba.
The problem for the California product was he didn’t have a good start to the season with the Moose which made for a tough season given they were one of the youngest teams in the American Hockey League. In 32 games for the Moose he finished with an 11-19-1 record with a 872 save% and a 3.55 GAA. He got supplanted from the role of starter by Jets 2023 5th rounder Thomas Milic who was recalled in January and got the lion’s share of starts to run Manitoba into a playoff spot.
He’s signed a one-year deal with the Oilers for 775K at the NHL and 425K in the AHL as per Puck Pedia.
