Former Jets defenceman Luke Schenn signs one-year deal with Canucks

The veteran defenceman will be back for his 19th season in the NHL.

Veteran defenceman Luke Schenn was dealt by the Jets to the Sabres at the trade deadline to provide Buffalo with depth for their playoff run. He was simply used as depth playing four regular season games and two playoff games for them.

It seems liked his NHL career might be over but the Vancouver Canucks stepped up and signed him to a one-year deal worth $2.25M AAV.
