Evening Round-up: Gaborik and Sundin continue to hog the headlines

  • If there was no such thing as overtime and the shootout the Rangers would be 11-11-11 on the season.  I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I hate the shootout. It is a joke and has run its course.
  • Damien Cox tells readers that Ron Wilson must be thinking a lot about the current success of the Sharks.  As Cox says, all that matters is the playoffs, so the jury is still out on whether the coaching move will allow the Sharks to take it to the next level come spring.  That said, it would be hard to do a better job than McLellan has done in the Bay Area so far this season.
  • Mats Sundin will make his decision by Thursday on where he will opt to play this season.  Who isn’t sick of this stuff already?
  • Steve Sullivan skating at full speed? Couldn’t be.  Great news out of Nashville.
  • Marian Gaborik will play tomorrow night for the Wild versus Calgary.  Okay, so how long until he’s traded????
