It was a big season for Jets 2017 3rd rounder Johnny Kovacevic who hit career highs with the Moose in goals (11), assists (19) and points (30) in addition to making his NHL debut with Winnipeg. He played a total of four games up in the NHL averaging just under 11 minutes per game.
The 6’5 mobile right shot defenceman should be spending next season with the big club as he is no longer waiver exempt and it is very unlikely he would pass through waivers. However, the RFA will first need a new contract this summer before he gets back to Winnipeg.
