Don’t think anybody in the Jets organization went up to the NHL and down to the AHL this season more than Dominic Toninato who ended up playing 15 games for Winnipeg in the NHL and 37 games for Manitoba in the AHL.
He had one goal during his time with the Jets this season (which turned out to be the game-winning goal) in his home state of Minnesota during an intense home-and-home series between the Central Division rivals. He also had four assists. For the Moose he scored seven goals while adding 13 assists. Similar to Jeff Malott he was in front of the net quite a bit to provide screens for goals which he didn’t get credit with a point but was integral to the puck beating the netminder.
This season concluded the first year of a two-year deal he signed in April of 2023.
