Not known for being a player who heads to the sin bin very often (with just 10 minutes in penalties prior to last night’s double-minor) Drew Stafford will be having a hearing with the Department of Player Safety for a high-sticking infraction he took in the 2nd period of last night’s game against the Colorado Avalanche and specifically Nick Holden.
This afternoon the Department of Player Safety tweeted that the Jets winger would have a hearing tomorrow.
Fair or foul? Was the penalty assessed on the ice sufficient or did this merit a call from the NHL?
