Yesterday, TSN’s Darren Dreger indicated that the Jets and Connor Hellebuyck, whose team-imposed suspension was set to end today, may have reached an agreement to delay his physical in order to prevent the situation from becoming a distraction and overshadowing Heritage Classic weekend in Winnipeg.
But this morning, Dreger dropped a bombshell:
Okay, twist in the plot. Connor Hellebuyck trade talks are escalating it could go down today. Busy day developing. Stay tuned.

Now, this certainly carries a lot of weight. With trade talks reportedly escalating, it would seem the biggest question is no longer whether a deal will get done, but rather where Hellebuyck might be headed. Will it be Buffalo? San Jose? Utah? Or maybe it will be some other team like New Jersey? Stay tuned.
