Following a tilt on Saturday night with the Leafs Daniel Winnik, Ben Chiarot left the game and did not return.  He was seen by fans in a sling and cast this morning at the MTS Centre IcePlex and just now coach Maurice has confirmed that “Ben Chiarot had surgery and will be out until “toward the end of the regular season” according to Patrick Williams of NHL.com.

The Jets bench boss confirmed that the surgery took place on Sunday and added “we are hopeful that he will be back by towards end of regular season”.
