The NHL squad of Winnipeg are off today which meant the AHL club of Manitoba had hockey for all centre to themselves for the most part. On one of the rinks Jets captain Adam Lowry continued his rehab skating as he recovers from offseason hip surgery although today he had a new face in Jonathan Toews, who was back on the ice yesterday but missed a bunch of days, so was likely just getting caught up today.

The Moose will face off against the Bisons tonight at Canada Life Centre which saw the game group hit the ice at 10 AM as they prepare for the final warm up game before their regular season gets underway on Friday night.
Lots of the younger prospects like Brayden Yager, Colby Barlow, Fabian Wagner and Elias Salomonsson will play tonight.

But most of the veteran pros are not and they skated a bit later including Samuel Fagemo, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, Mason Shaw and Phillip Di Giuseppe.
Waiver news:
The Moose also got a boost when the waiver wire news came out indicating both Ville Heinola and Walker Duehr had cleared and could be assigned to the AHL club by the Jets. Both players will provide a boost.
More to come:
The Jets have until 4 PM today to submit their 23-man roster and they currently have 24 players. The expectation is they will loan either Brad Lambert or Parker Ford (or both) to Manitoba which would be another boost for this squad.
Media:
After spending three weeks at Jets training camp surrounded by guys like future Hall of Famer Jonathan Toews and All-Star Mark Scheifele, prospect Brayden Yager is down with the Moose and ready to start his pro career in the American Hockey League.
We caught up with him to reflect on his training camp takeaways, integrating the lessons he learned, turning pro, getting to do it with other prospects and a little OHL vs WHL chirps.
Fresh off spending a few weeks with the Jets at training camp getting to learn from Connor Hellebuyck and Eric Comrie we caught up with Winnipeg goalie prospect Domenic DiVincentiis now that he’s back with the Moose for their training camp as he begins his second year as a pro.
We discussed what he learned up with the NHL goalies, any highlights from his time at camp, having greater comfort in his second year as a pro, what was his focus this summer, conversations with Moose goalie coach Drew MacIntyre and getting ready to start a new season.
Up next:
The Moose will play the Bisons tonight at 7 PM and then are off tomorrow which makes today effectively their final day of training camp. We will learn who they send down to their ECHL affiliate in Norfolk. This will be especially interesting when it comes to goaltending given they currently have four goalies left at camp in Alex Worthington, Isaac Poulter, Thomas Milic and Domenic DiVincentiis.
