Canada head coach Jon Cooper says Josh Morrissey will miss next game, not ruled out for remainder of Olympics

When Team Canada and Switzerland hit the ice in Italy for their game at the Olympic Men’s Hockey event one notable player was absent as Jets defneceman Josh Morrissey did not dress after leaving the first game on Wednesday during the second period.

Today, Morrissey was a spectator as Canada cruised to a 5-1 win over the Swiss.

As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press, who is down there to cover the Olympics, this was what Canada head coach Jon Cooper had to say about Morrissey:

“You will not see him next game. (Sunday vs France). But by no means is he out for the tournament.”

That’s great news for the Calgary product who must be crushed missing games at the Olympics.
