Cameron Schilling clears waivers; assigned to the Manitoba Moose

He was part of the third round of Jets assignments on Thursday which saw the team send down five guys to the Manitoba Moose.  Of the five Cameron Schilling was the only one who needed to clear waivers which according to the fine folks at Cap Friendly he did this morning.

He signed a one-year deal with the Jets this past summer.   This will be his third season in Winnipeg and after last year provided him an opportunity to get back into the NHL for the first time in four seasons (including picking up his first point in the NHL) he likely sees an opportunity when the Jets defensive depth gets tested.
