From Darren Dreger of TSN:

The Dan Boyle trade rumours have resurfaced.

Sources also say the Tampa Bay Lightning have contacted the Boyle camp to alert them to the fact a deal may be in the works. Whether or not the Lightning have officially asked Boyle to waive his no-trade clause is unconfirmed, however a source close to the player says they have.

As I said on Tuesday, trading Boyle would make no sense. After all the moves the Bolts have made, they are suddenly looking to trade their best defenseman? I don’t understand the rationale.
