Bo signs for one year, thus avoiding arbitration tomorrow. Don’t know what this accomplishes since Jay would have received a one-year deal tomorrow anyway.

If I am a Panthers fan (good things I’m not), I would be fairly worried about Bouwmeester leaving town after next season.  He has not clearly stated his willingness to stay with the franchise long-term, and it seems he will use the fact that he is an UFA in the summer of 2009 as a bargaining chip in his favor.  It looks to me like “Bo” will be a former Panther come late next season.
