Afternoon Delight: Poker Face

  • Al Cimaglia discusses Game One and the Wings’ style of play.
  • Michael Farber and Alan Muir go head to head over the Conn Smythe winner.
  • The Weekly Rumour Roundup discusses Theodore, Niedermayer and Luongo.
  • ISS has released their May 2009 draft rankings, with Tavares once again at the top. Interesting to see Matt Duchene supplant Victor Hedman. I do not believe Louis Leblanc deserves to be that high.
  • THN weighs in the Sioux nickname/logo controversy.
  • Puck Daddy opines on the issue of broken composites and the calls they elicit. Some may scoff, but the stick issue will have to be dealt with sooner or later.
  • The Canadian Press is reporting that the Colorado Avalanche have offered Patrick Roy their head coaching job. Paging Tony Granato…

The Moose head to B.C. today where they will begin four games on the road starting on Friday with the Canucks (of Abbotsford).

Their lineup will be bolstered by the addition of Dominic Toninato who passed through waivers on Wednesday.

The Jets take their act on the road starting with a game tomorrow night in St. Louis against the Blue.

The Moose will be in Abbotsford for a practice on Thursday as they get ready to kick off four away from Manitoba.
