Kyle is away today, so I am filling in for the AD. Some of these pieces are from a few days ago, but I feel they are interesting and certainly still relevant.
- The most recent top 100 draft rankings from NACS. Great story about Jonathan Cheechoo and his dad in there as well.
- Crashing the Goalie took a look at the fighting controversy a little while ago. I am a supporter of fighting as being a part of the fabric of the game.
- Trailer Park Boys star Bubbles makes his selections for Team Canada. Justin Morneau of the Minnesota Twins also has his team up on the Hockey Canada website.
- TV critic Chris Zelkovich says the Ron Wilson/Howard Berger incident was overblown. It certainly got too much press, but I can also see why Wilson went off.
- Kelly Hrudey tells us that recently retired referee Rob Schick was one of the best. I have to admit, it is going to be weird when all the referees you recognize growing up have retired and the new ones–without names on the backs of their jerseys–become relatively unknown.
- Who isn’t up for some Jose Theodore analysis? Capitals fans cannot be confident with him in between the pipes come playoff time.
