- The Stars, concerned about all the injuries the team has suffered on defense, have picked up Doug Janik off waivers from Chicago. Janik isn’t going to be the answer in Dallas but they don’t have many better options right now.
- Martin St. Louis and Andrej Meszaros have been named alternate captains in Tampa. These are just titles. This team has about five-to-seven born leaders in the dressing room.
- Are the Capitals thinking of playing Sergei Fedorov on defense? With Backstrom and Nylander up the middle (both better than Fedorov) and a weak defense, it is something to consider.
