Jets Jersey Reveal:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets unveil official new jerseys.  After all this waiting, people are ecstatic that there is finally a sweater with which to honour the new team.

NHL.com:  New Jets jerseys, ceremony evoke military feel.  It certainly did have that type of feel and a big thank you to the men and women of RCAF 17 Wing for all their help in putting this event on.  Only thing missing was a fly over.

CBC:  Winnipeg Jets unveil new jerseys. I would suggest that the jerseys certainly achieved True North’s stated goal.

“Our desire was to authenticate the name and make it as meaningful as we possibly could,” said Jets co-owner Mark Chipman.

“In my view, the best way to do that was to draw a connection to the rich history that our city has enjoyed with the air force, particularly with 17 Wing,” he added.

The Province:  A Nation exhales as the Winnipeg Jets finally release their jerseys.  While it is nice to know that people across Canada have been pulling for the city of Winnipeg, expect that nationally love to diminish once the season gets underway.
