Note:  The Jets face the Sharks in northern California in the second last game of the season for Winnipeg.  Puck drop isn’t until 9:30 pm so hopefully you can stick with us throughout the day and into the weee hours of the morning as we cover all things Jets today.  As always as soon as illegalcurve.com is updated we will also notify you via Twitter | Facebook | Instagram.

Note II:  The Moose dropped their re-match with the visiting Admirals 5-2 last night.  The team will have the day off today as they look to re-set for the final couple of games at home this weekend.  They play Saturday and Sunday in 2 pm afternoon matinees against the Rockford IceHogs.  On Saturday it is Josh Morrissey bobblehead day and Sunday is a fan appreciation game in the home finale.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets autopsy, part 1: How did we get here?  (Paywall).  Plenty to read in this autopsy as Tim breaks down the season into eight different segments and then looks at what went right, what went wrong and what was learned in each one.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets need two-way, dependable forwards.  No question that adding more players of this ilk can only boost the Jets next season.

ESPN:  They’re out of luck this season, but these five teams will make the playoffs in 2017.  Fans who support the Jets will like seeing their team on this list.

Sportsnet:  Breaking down the top 10 picks.  Cox ran a draft simulator and Jets fans will like the result for Winnipeg.
