Note:  Dustin Byfuglien has his phone hearing with the Department of Player Safety at 9:30 am today for his hit on the Rangers J.T. Miller on Tuesday night.  Because it is a phone hearing the maximum suspension he could receive is five games, which of course would mean the rest of the regular season.

Note: The Jets hit the ice at 11:00 AM at MTS Centre following a day off yesterday.  They have a couple of days of practice before a massive game against the Canucks on Saturday.

Games of significance last night: Sharks won.  Avalanche lost.

Games of significance tonight: Flames (@ Blues). Wild (vs. Rangers). Canucks (@ Hawks). Kings (vs. Oilers).

Jets news:

The Hockey news:  Prospect Eric Comrie makes 66 saves in losing effort.  While I’m sure he would have preferred the win a fairly memorable way to end his Junior career.

Metro News:  How will the Winnipeg Jets cope if they lose Byfuglien?  Once again adversity will come calling and Hustler wonders how the Jets will answer it.
