– On Sunday, the Jets announced that Jacob Trouba was taken off the Injured Reserve.   Trouba will play for the Jets tonight in place of Adam Pardy, who will be a healthy scratch. Trouba has missed the last 17 games with a neck injury since falling head-first into the end boards on Oct. 18th against the St.Louis Blues. The Jets also re-assigned defenseman Julian Melchiori to the St.John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.

– The Devils are coming off a 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday and are 6-3-1 in their last ten games.

– 21-year-old defenseman Adam Larsson (lower body) will not play for the Devils tonight and will be replaced by 21-year-old rookie Jon Merrill, who will play in only his 2nd ever career NHL game.

– The Jets have gone to the shootout five times in their last seven games (3 wins)

– Evander Kane has gone 11 straight games without a goal (His last goal was scored on October 26th on the road against the Dallas Stars)

Dustin Byfuglien ranks 3rd overall in the NHL in defenseman scoring with 19 points (Erik Karlsson leads all defenseman with 24 points)
