Winning is a Bryz
The Coyotes have won five games in a row and the main reason for the Coyotes’ success has been the play of goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov.
Bryzgalov ranks third in the NHL
with a 1.99 goals against average and leads the NHL with four shutouts. He has a record of 17-8-1.
Jim Gintonio of the Arizona Republic is of the opinion that Bryzgalov has done an excellent job cleaning up scoring chances created as a result of Coyotes’ mistakes.
“He’s so confident,” said Coyotes captain Shane Doan. “He makes the game look so easy, and it really isn’t that easy. He’s just always square to the puck, it always seem to be hitting him in the middle of his body … He’s just making it look incredibly simple.”
Phoenix is 18-11-1, and has an over/under record of 7-22-1.
