Note: For the first time in some time, today’s note is not about the Jets needing to sign their last remaining RFA, as they announced Monday that they had signed Tyrel Bauer to a two-year contract. We expect to catch up with the Albertan in the next little bit to discuss his new deal.
Note II: Former Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien finished 26th at the Kenora Bass International and, when asked if he’s in shape for the upcoming Jets alumni game, offered a classic response “Never was in shape!”. Read more about the big man here.
Note III: Winnipeg’s Seth Jarvis received a massive Friendly Manitoba welcome as he brought the Stanley Cup home for a day of celebrations. After visiting the Children’s Hospital, Jarvis spent more than two hours at Tuxedo Community Centre sharing the Cup with his community. We caught up with him for a few moments as he reflected on what it meant to bring the Cup to Manitoba which you can watch here.
