Players had until today to file for salary arbitration, and as reported by PuckPedia, Jets winger Cole Perfetti elected to do so.

This isn’t an unexpected development. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff told us on Friday that he expected the next step in negotiations with the RFA would be for Perfetti to file for arbitration.
With the filing now complete, Perfetti is no longer eligible to sign an offer sheet, although that was never considered a likely outcome.
The good news for both sides is they can continue negotiating a new contract before the arbitration hearing, and the process ensures this won’t drag into training camp.
