Note: There were no signings by the Jets to talk about on the second day of Free Agency until around 4 PM when the team announced they had added depth defenceman Henry Thrun, who spent last season in the Leafs organization, on a one-year deal. We did have a chat with a player who signed on the first day as we spent about ten minutes chatting with new defenceman Mario Ferraro which you can watch here.
Note II: Of course it was still Day 4 of Development Camp and with the “frenzy” of the previous day mostly done with we could remain focused on the prospects that are in Winnipeg. Following the “two teams” practice we caught up with third-rounder Samuel Hrenak who I don’t think has stopped smiling since he heard his name get called in Buffalo on Saturday. Note III: Speaking of the kids. They will conclude the final day of Development Camp with a scrimmage this morning which is set to get underway at 9:30 AM CT out at hockey for all centre. Media availabilities get underway at 12:30 PM and we will have that covered here and on our YouTube channel.

Winnipeg Free Press: ‘Wanted to be in a place that I’ve heard treats players well’. (Paywall). While Winnipeg may be hit with a number of no-trade clauses on the flip side the organization clearly has a good reputation for treating the players (and their families well).
